Also thanks for explaining what you are doing and posting pics. How much were the morimoto projectors?

I looked on the website but the ones I saw came with HID kit, didn’t see a halo kit either

I bought the projectors and upgraded bulb holders for $115. I have not bought the bulbs or wiring or ballasts yet.

Going to ask the Retrofit Source guys what kit will work. I think that it will be the Morimoto Elite kit for the fogs. It ill probably be the same for when I do the head light.

Im still curious using current led style bulb in a v7 or matchbox. the old Cobb led bulbs output odd, but the new breeds are similar to a halogen.

I'm just going to keep this simple. I think I will go with 4500k HID bulbs and keep them low beam only, but run the solenoid wires out in case I change my mind.

$115 i cant wait to see how this turns out!

If I bought the full lighting kit, it would probably b well over $300....wiring, bulbs, ballasts, and what ever would be needed to make it work. I'll ask TRS what will be needed to get everything running for the fogs...

I know the vanquish kit is around $150. I think those are the led fog lights that are in my fog lights i bought.

Maybe you could just open yours up, install the projector and run your LEDs
From what I have read and some of the videos TRS has put out, the projectors designed for HID bulbs really won't work as good using an LED bulb in a HID projector. From what I understand the light pattern using an LED bulb isnt optimized.

All I know is after how helpful everyone at TheRetrofitSource.com was on my headlight build I will not buy from anyone else. There are dozens of calls and emails walking me through the process and helped when I ordered the incorrect parts. Heck I broke my projectors, my fault for not paying attention to the projector to shroud setup, they sent me new ones.

Ah....ok. Halos go around the trim pieces, the Demon Eyes I was talking about, are just the glow of a small LED behind the projector lens...

MLEDs are one of the ones that TRS offers. What I've read they are one of the best as far as the light being distributed and output of light. From what I can see they're too big for a fog light retrofit though.

Unfortunately anything I want to get done this weekend is now put on the back burner. I got held over tonight for a 16 hour day and will only have time to sleep before going back to work.
