Well now you will have documented that it does not work , so if you crash you have evidence. Try climbing the corporate ladder to get it diagnosed . In the meantime pay attention !
I'm not sure what you're saying. If you're implying that he won't be at fault if he rear-ends someone you're sadly mistaken. FCW is there as a backup. A driver will not be relieved of responsibility if it stops working and they get into an accident. And having it doesn't mean you don't have to pay attention, or as much attention, as someone who doesn't have it. The amount of attention you pay to what's going on in front of you shouldn't depend on whether you have nanny devices like FCW.

I bought a 2022 Limited Diesel in September 22 and now 4 months in also could never get the system to work as designed. It is set to max distance with braking and tone alert. I also have the 28m package for Pedestrian Emergency Braking and like another post set up a test using trash cans and ran at them going about 25 and nothing happened, not a noise let along braking. Had the dealer double check its all set to maximum warning level. When a couple cars have cut me off at high speed so close you couldn't read their license plate, again no chirp no braking. First dealer in San Diego said I don't have the feature ( it's on the window sticker, the build codes also agree ) second dealer now has had it 10 days and says it will only work when I get to one foot away from crashing, as designed. Funny the Ram Videos don't say 1 ft, that would sure make for one terrible wreck at 70 MPH. The Stelantis Agent assigned to my case is going with the dealer saying one foot is plenty of time. I would not want to be a pedestrian given 1 ft of brake time or some idiot that just pulled out while going 80 the speed limit near out Utah place. Please all keep posting if any dealer has found a repair that corrects this. Other than this one issue the Diesel and rest of the features are great.

where RowdyEddie lives, there are so many switchback 2 lane roads, it is almost a horse riding trail.
There are so many cyclists riding on 2 of the nearby roads, i don't like driving on them.
What is worse, i follow or lead semi trucks carrying trees down Old Castle Rd
This image was taken on Old castle Rd.

One even hairier day, i had to lead a large boat over Old Castle Rd. & then had to travel about 7 miles north on Lilac Rd.
