So while working on another project on the wife's jeep I was placing small nuts an bolts in the "cup holder" shaped indents on the tailgate and thought ...hmmmm wish these were magnetic.......a trip to harbor freight and walla built in magnet bolt and nut holders....

Pretty simple....used some hot glue just for added security from any tailgate slams that "might" unseat the magnets....although highly doubtful I like doing a job once and being done....these "65 pound" magnets are damn strong.

Unbolt , glue magnets, rebolt.....yeah that simple lol

And as you can see the magnets are string enough to go through the metal and linex.....holds a screw while vertical....good enough for me.

Cheers

You've been hanging with your wife at Hobby Lobby to much.
Using a Hot Glue gun on your truck.. SMH

I do like the idea.

Actually the glue gun came with my dent puller kit I bought to attempt pulling a dent out of my tailgate (don't buy the dent puller kit lol) Anyways already had all this stuff out and was like....I have an Idea :roflsquared:

Damn hard to find those sized. All I found are 20lb. It's go big or go home. I'll keep searching for the 65+.

Great idea. It's a cheap and great mod for anyone who is a tailgate mechanic.
