Who wants factory 20’s when you can get your choice or aftermarket for just a bit more.

These days it’s amazing what people will mark stuff up for to sell and even more amazing is what some people are willing to pay. When I was looking for a set for my previous 3/4 ton I found a set for $400 but I wouldn’t have the cash till pay day, the guy bought a brand new truck, had the dealer lift it and put on aftermarket wheels but didn’t want to just give the wheels to the dealer, so he took them home and listed them, sadly they where gone by pay day lol.

I think a set of factory take offs, even without sensors, should be about $450 for 18”, about $500 for 20’s, and those black outs around $550-600 max, I laugh my ass off when I see a set listed for $1000, and if they have tires on them (typically the stock transjunks) for $2200-$2500

I wouldn't automatically think they were stolen especially if when you go to look at them the person has the truck they were taken off of or at least can give you a rational explanation of how he got them.

As said when I make the decision to sell something I price it so it hopefully moves quickly because I want it gone and out of my shop....but that's just me. IE - Don't automatically think the worst about people.

Think about it. If you were a thief of all vehicles and wheels to target heavy as 8lug truck with some basic wheels nobody wants? Who wants to jack up that big as truck?

Now if it was a brand new tailgate for dirt cheap you would be on to something.

BTW I know where you could get a brand new set of 18” methods for $700

And like new Chrome Weld racing 18” for $700

Factory take offs for $300 seems steep.
