Ummm, what?

This is a 5th gen:

I agree. He's saying since some of the panels are still 4th gen that it's a 4th gen I guess? It's way more 5th gen than 4th, so I get calling it a 4.5, but if you have to choose between one or the other (like on this forum, since there isn't (and shouldn't be)) a 4.5 gen section), then clearly the new HDs look way more like the 5th gen.

Pretty sure that's why the heavy duty section in the 5th gen area was put there, and has been used for quite a while now.

The current pricing is pretty awesome... I’m making a deal on a granite crystal 2500 long bed with similar options. My local dealer can’t keep trucks on the lot. Can’t say the same for the local Ford and Chevy dealers who have had the same inventory for months.

I would be very interested if you are actually able to get that internet pricing.

Common issue when I was shopping - they show every possible rebate on the internet, gets you in the door, then they say "sorry you arent eligible for ALL of them, THIS is your price ..."

I’ve only found three dealers that tell you the price, this one and Dennis Dillion show you what they “ know you qualify for, Dave Smith takes ur info and then tells you what all you qualify for, from my limited shopping experience they are on the up and up.

To the dealers credit, he gives his discount and lists the rebates available by savings and type. I'd only get down on the dealers that only list as a lump savings as you would never know until you call.

Here you know where you are starting and don't need to call if you can do better elsewhere.

If I could get a deal on the 5th generation like I got when I bought my 2011, I'd drive one off the lot tomorrow. Bought it in July of 2011 and traded in my 05. Sticker was $28,000, and I drove it home, with finance charges, for less than $14,000. Ah, those were the good ole days!

So what is the heavy duty section in the 5th gen area for? I get what you're saying, but if they post over in the 4th gen area they will be told to come here for more pertinent information. There is no 4.5 gen section, so they have to choose one or the other, in which case I would choose 5th gen if I were a new HD owner.

Also agree with the 8 speed upgrade, it was great on my 2013 when I had it and still great on the current trucks. Nice that they've offered it in the HD gassers now as well.
