Hey guys, Ok, so got my fox box last night in the mail. I was wondering if with the spacers provided will that complete the seat mod as well where we can drop the backrests down? Also I was planning on grounding the amp to where the seat bolts... now with that spacer would I still be able to use that spot knowing it will have a piece of MDF on it or can I just remedy that with a washer?

Thanks for the help!

The spacer should allow you to fold down the seat backs. Personally I wouldn’t put wood against something that could potentially get hot if there’s some type of malfunction.

It’s not that it should get hot, but if something electrical goes wrong you don’t want to light the MDF on fire.

I made spacers. I welded pipe between washers.

Also their are grommets under where the subwoofers will sit. I ran the ground to a bolt on the frame on the driver side

Nicey nice. I got the spacers in today... The mdf spacers that came with the box didn't really give me enough height to get the back rest down without forcing it a bit so I undid it and added 2 washers per bolt so now it's 3/4" higher. The washers kept sliding out so I glued them to the mdf spacers. I was using a breaker bar on the back bolts, wasn't paying attention, it slipped off and I slammed my freaking pinky on something... Nail is definitely gonna come off. Anyway, the crimp plugs provided with my amp set were crap and the bolt holes too small so I ordered some temco ones. I'll start getting my wood mounted so I could get my amp up there and run some wires in the while it takes to get them over here.
