- Sorry if someone has already addressed this and I just didn't search well enough.
My 4th Gen RAM 1500 Laramie was overdue for tire rotation (8200 miles), so I did that today. BUT I came up against an irritating problem - the OE skid plates in front mostly cover up the front cross member.
I didn't want to just jack on the plates, since they're bolted on with dimpled mount points. I used a custom-cut piece of oak to fit into the small space between the plates and nestle into the pad on my 3.5 ton jack - but I bet others have had this issue. How did you solve it ? and were you really happy with your result ?
