Hi, All I purchased a set of Crutchfield Woofer/ tweeter speakers, My question is are these plug and play, are the OEM speakers oval or round am I going to need the the adapter plate provided that's(oval) they gave me the OEM wiring harness.
The name of the speakers are, Polk Audio DB 652

2019 gen 5 Laramie Quad Cab Drivers and Passenger door.

Yes you will need the adapter. The doors are 6x9 and you bought 6 1/2 round that's why they sent the adapter.

The front door speakers are mid range only also. The tweeters wont work if tied into those speaker wires.

You might do better with a coaxial speaker set in the doors for simplification. I recently bought a '21 Bighorn and next day ordered all new speakers from Crutchfield for doors and dash - went with Polk Audio 6x9 coaxials for all 4 doors - all 4 doors were plug and play with Crutchfield's wiring connector adaptors - no additional mount adapters needed.
