For the longest time, I had a wildly annoying squeak that I could not pinpoint. It sounded like it was coming from somewhere in the front of the truck. The noise was mainly audible when hitting small bumps between 25 - 45mph and sounded like a couple of birds chirping. I did hours of reading online and tried multiple fixes and troubleshooting steps. But the noise persisted.

Took my truck to my mechanic this week to have some new “quick struts” installed. Not in an effort to fix the noise, but because the roads I drive on beat the sh*t out of my suspension. I asked them to install some new end links as well while they were at it. On the way home, I noticed that the noise was completely GONE. Even on my road that is nothing but bumps…not a sound.

Obviously since both the strut assemblies and the end links were replaced, I can’t say for sure which was causing the noise. But maybe this can help anyone who is trying to track down and get rid of that maddening squeak sound.

OEM shock bushings are a notorious squeak spot. Hopefully it stays quiet for you.

It was the front end links. Old ones were replaced with Moog links.
