That is probably a better call. I have had my black hemi emblems from amazon on my hood for 4+ years with no issues.

Yep, it comes in the same shipment as the hood badges

10 or so screws on the inside of the tailgate to remove that panel, and then a lil hairdryer heat on the badge, and you can push it right off from the back side

I take that panel off about 2 or 3 times a year when I give a good detailing, I clean dirt from places most don't :laughing1:

Replaced front with Black, rear tailgate with Black, hood insert with black and removed the door RAM and rear Bighorn and 4x4 badges

Love the new look. Have a set of 2021 Black Ram wheels (20") on the way in the next couple days. Local tire guy I am using says I got about 5K left on my stock tires.... road trip to wear those miles off :laughing1:

I just sanded mine down, cleaned it thoroughly and sprayed it with simi flat black engine enamel. Holds up great, even after multiple car washes. And I can touch it up from time to time if needed. :)

$6 can of Plastidip and $5 dollar roll of masking tape, it will last the life of the truck and if you want to change it then it’s always the same process!

I do emblems and badges for customers weekly and Plastidip is where it is at.

Very small screw driver and they pop right out .... Order black Night Edition ones on Ebay .... When you get the new ones, you’ll see the tabs

Nope. Your info suggests you have a 4th gen.

The 5th gen ones have both tabs as well as posts with those "one-way-washer" type things.

I ended up* drilling into them and using a pair of pliers to pry them out.

*not practical to remove the grill to gain access to the back, as I would have had to remove my factory front fender flairs and it just wasn't worth it. But, I got some cool stuff to put on my barn.
