Fuel gage (gas)needs resetting

When I fillup and the gage shows hair under 3/4 it takes little over 15gallons ...I have a 31 gallon tank.How do I fix this without dealer?Thanks

It's a 2022, it should still be under warranty. I know you don't want to lose the truck for as long as they will probably have it, but it appears your sending unit is bad which means dropping the tank.

We dispise the local dealership(2018 2500 40,000 Tradesman miles-we return it 10x's finally engine shut down on road ....dealer finally returned money after threatened with Lemon Law)
Bought this new 2022 Ram end of Covid because nobody had a 2500,either Chevy etc but this one was only one we could find in southeast within 8hr driving one way. Had to have 2500 for our farm use.

That might be the standard.The top half of a tank is always larger then the bottom half according to the gauge.You have to burn off some gas before the float actually starts to move down and give you a reading.If it's between a half and 3/4 and takes 15 gallons on a 31 gallon tank,i'll lay odds there's not much the dealer will be able to do
