Fuel Leak

Afternoon everyone, I need a little help. I had to replace the intake side quick disconnect on my 98 ram 2500 5.7L at the fuel tank. Does any one know the size of the outlet on the sending unit. I have replaced it with a 3/8". Having trouble with it leaking at the connector.

I do not know the size, you can use micrometers to measure, or just cut the hose and attach with hose clamps. The reason I know is someone did this to one of my old trucks.
