the truck is a 95 1500 318 2wd an my fuel pump went out, so my question is if I upgrade is there any good upgrades pumps? All I can find is the Holley at 255 lph. Other upgrades so far besides exhaust is MSD coil Blaster an 14x2 intake from summit racing.

Bout how much could the stock pump handle? Like I’m eventually going to rv can, edlebrock rpm air gap an mild head work with headers. I should be good still?

the pump puts out more than you engine could ever use. stock fuel injection generally only needs between 40-60psi to run and a stock type pump can put out 70+psi easily.

So instead of me doing a pump upgrade I could safely run bigger injectors up to say 65 lbs as long as the supporting mods are there if I’m understanding you right?

Stock injectors will handle more than that 318 can make naturally aspirated.

You're going about this all wrong. 65lb injectors? Stock are 22lb, 60lb provide overhead with a supercharger even. You don't need anything you asked about.

Also, unless you plan on running a standalone engine management system like Holley, AEM, Haltech etc, you're wasting your time with upgrades. Obd1 isnt tune-able. Carb, standalone, or obd2 conversion. Better off selling and buying a 96+

I understand about the obd sensors, an yea if I do want power go carb I just didn’t know if I went a lil over stock if I still need supporting mods or I was safe with stock stuff.

You have no reason to use larger than stock.

If you're even considering touching the cam don't bother with obd1
