fuel pump

I have a 1996 Ram 1500 2wd. The rubber fuel line into the pump is blowing fuel all over. I thought I would be able to just replace the fuel line however, it looks like I may need to drop the tank to get to the connection. I can reach it on top of the pump (its the first one you see in the pic) but how long is that rubber line?. Does it connect to a steel line in between the frame and the tank? Thanks for any help you can provide!
