Fuel Tank Straps

Pardon me if this is an Age-Old topic... But are there new fuel tank straps available for 81-87 pickups? I have a 1983 W350. Thank you.

Yes. The net lists straps as 1988-1993 models only. No results turn up for earlier pickups. I'm trying to figure out the differences btwn them, and the 1981-1987 straps (if any). Thanks

if you get 'creative' you can use the other year straps for your truck as long as they are from 72-93. for the most part, the mounting points for the straps haven't changed. you might have to cut or drill some holes to make it work. I had to add a piece of metal strapping from home depot to make it work on one of my trucks.

The thicker frames have different straps. Most straps are made for the 6" frame. I've not been able to find straps for my '93 trucks with 8" frames.
