Any good way to find gas stations large enough to get into with 36’ RV. Gas buddy no help.

There is no real good way. Just try to find truck stops because they are better to pull in and pull out. That’s what I used to do when I pulled with a Hemi. Now I have the 6.7 Cummins and just use the trucker tanks.

I have had to find gas stations along my route and call them. Kind of a laborious process but I didn't find anyway to get the info I needed online either.

Sorry you don't like your 6.4L.

I liked mine but it struggled a bit with the TT we had. The Cummins had no problem towing the TT and now we are in the market for a larger 5th wheel that I am sure would bog down the 6.4L on some of the grades and mountain passes out here.

Google Maps or Google Earth and look up the gas stations along your route.

As mentioned the large truck stops are your best bet. It also works to look over a station really well before pulling in to make sure there is overhead clearance and an easy way out. Be prepared to get in situations once in a while that will require backing out into traffic on roadways. A good backup camera and a second person with a walkie talkie helps a lot.

I agree with checking Google maps satellite photo view! I used that all the time when towing it trailer. If I was going to stop at a truck stop I wouldn't bother, but for a lot of our other stops I would check to ensure there would be areas to park and a way to get in/out without issue.

I use the Flying J app. They usually have RV pumps separate from the car island which will have diesel and regular. When I had my 6.4 I had to plan my fuel stops carefully because of the terrible range with the factory tank when pulling heavy. The new version of their app is OK for locating stations, but the RV specific info is not there anymore. Also Pilot branded locations generally don't have RV pumps.

I found that not all Flying J stops have the RV pumps eather. While on I 10 in Florida I found they have a RV small sign on the highway gas exit signs, that would be great if all states would do that.

Going down interstates, I really didn't worry about finding a gas station that could get my 6.4 w/ TT in tow. Rural Texas roads was another issue though.

We'd look up gas stations on Google Maps, then switch over to Streetview to see what the gas station looked like. Streetview was pretty much only useful in the cities though.

It helps to have a passenger searching ahead for gas stations though.

I pulled my 21 yes I know it it small but still I towed it from Canada to Florida and will be doing it again next Christmas 5.7 1500 8speed and had no issues except one I did have not enough clearance on the air conditioner so I had to back out after I was gas up but that was in small town Georgia Now I plan out fuel stops. At truck stop. It help and they have great stuff inside

When you're pulling this it is a concern.

What do you get is it mpg. Or gpm. Nice rig
The 6.4 generally got around 7.5 mpg. I have not towed it enough with the Cummins, but on hills where the 6.4 was screaming, the CTD is locked up in 6th gear at 1800 RPMS, chug-a-chug-a-chug.
