I just put this in over the winter. Love it. I drink alot of beer in the garage during the winter and this easily keeps it at 70 in there. Has 5k Watt and 7500 watt settings but never have to run on the 7500 setting. My garage is well insulated which helps a ton.MVIMG_20190330_230428.jpg

I just use a propane torpedo heater when it's that cold out. It won't get it shorts and tee shirt warm but it does get it warm enough to get things done.

I have an 80,000btu kerosene torpedo heater. I can keep my 24x24 garage at 60 degrees with an insulated ceiling and a ****** fiberglass door with holes in it [emoji23]

Good morning to all on the site!
I have a 30’X40’x12’ attached garage up in the Northern lower peninsula of Michigan. I installed hydronic heat tubing in the floor with 3” of foam under that. I used (4) 300ft. runs of 3/4” pex tubing in the floor. It keeps the room as warm as I want it. You want to make sure you use tubing with an oxygenated barrier for heat BUT NOT for potable water. I also used an antifreeze specifically designed for hydronic heating incase I lose power to our cabin.

I’m looking to do another garage next year, did you plumb the system yourself?

I have a three car garage and I use an electric 220v heater mounted to the ceiling. Its runs up to 4000btu but as its wired its now at 2000btu. If its 35 out side I get get the garage to 75 in about one hour. Had it for about five years now, best $175 I every spent for the garage.

You guys with propane torpedos have any issues with fumes or do the cats filter out enough for a sealed environment?
