I absolutely hate having to do it, but I may have to go to a Ford if Ram can't put a gas engine in a high trim level 3500. After 4 catalytics under warranty, I have do something before 60,000. Sucks because otherwise I love my Ram.
Edit: I see you have a diesel, I had a post here where I thought you had a gasser right now.

That said I agree with some of the other guys, sounds like you've got several dealers with parts changers instead of techs. What it could be is not for me to say, but you definitely need to find a dealer with an actual tech, get a Mopar engineer involved, or see if they'll let it go to a real diesel shop.

Hell, I cant even find a John Deere Dealer that knows anything about the Yanmar engines in the tractors they sell, despite Deere taking all the service responsibilities from Yanmar.
I ended up at a Yanmar shop.
Go to the Cummins Dealer.

The link to the aftermarket kit I had in the original post does not move the IC. There's zero reason a factory option couldn't be made if Ram wanted to.
That's my point - in the FACTORY CONFIGURATION the winch on a PW mounts DIRECTLY where the IC sits on a CTD. there isn't room in front of that for the winch. Period. I've had both.

Your aftermarket link (which would require Stellantis to release a special bumper, or BUY a special bumper, neither of which they seem particularly willing to do) is for a bumper that is significantly deeper than a factory bumper, which CREATES the space needed for a winch. Which is fine and dandy, but truthfully I wouldn't want to do that either - that intercooler needs airflow, and mounting a winch in front of it is going to reduce the efficiency of said intercooler.

The Power Wagon doesn't get a CTD because the winch goes where the intercooler goes. There physically isn't enough real estate there.

You know Ford did exactly that for the F-150 Tremor to offer a factory winch option with the turbo ecoboost, right? And the Bronco has multiple bumper options, including modular? My point with the aftermarket option is simply to illustrate it's a very easy fix to make. If your argument is Ram is too dumb or too cheap to do what Ford's doing...you're right. If your argument is it's an insurmountable obstacle to a diesel 2500 with a winch...nope. The heavy ass diesel block is antithetical to what makes a PW unique. If you want a diesel, get a Rebel, which is designed to handle the weight.

it will start one and 3-4 minutes in, stop and say it can't be done because the particulate filter is too full. Off for another catalytic.
Has the DPF pressure sensor been replaced? It's possible the sensor faulting or misreading under certain engine loads which is hard to duplicate in a shop environment. Another possibility would be the DPF temperature sensor not sensing the temperature correctly.
Chances are the dealership is just changing the DPF and reusing the sensors.
By any chance are you using an OEM air filter, there was some people reporting unusual regens after installing aftermarket air filters.

That's a good point. One would think that they have the proper software to monitor the thresholds that the sensors should be reading (while driving it and getting it up to operating temps). But that takes more than a part swapper.

Also a valid point on the air filter. I can't stress enough how much these systems (especially on a Cummins) do not like aftermarket filters (of any kind). Not saying that's the problem but it's not impossible that it's a contributor.

We're off topic, but yes, my point is that Ram decided NOT to release a new bumper that would allow a winch and an intercooler on the Power Wagon, likely due to cost according to some accountant.

You are correct that Ford offers a modular front bumper for the F150 Tremor and the Bronco, which allows the winch to be mounted in front of the intercooler. Could Ram do that? Sure. Do they? No. And their reasoning is cost to develop it. Ram didn't see their math showing a high enough return on a new bumper. Ford did. Ford ALSO has a larger OEM aftermarket parts offering than Ram does.

Regardless we're off topic of this thread.

This is a vendor that sells winch setups that fit behind the OEM bumper on a ram 1500 through 3500 with gas and or cummins. the only thing that shows is the fairlead.

just figured id add that :)

Yep. I went to the Ram builder website and I don't see a 6.4 option offered for 3500s past the BigHorn package.

BigHorn:

Laramie and up:

Go back again and look. I used Zip Code 90210 because my butt sits in Canada. Just looked again and I can still see them as per below.

I attached screenshots for the Limited Longhorn but have confirmed I see exactly the same for the Limited, Laramie .
Tradesman and Bighorn you have to choose 4X4 to get both Engine Options to show up or you only get the 6.4
