Called an got an appointment made at the dealership. Cost $100 to get it flashed. About half of what I thought it was going to so I’ll take it. It’ll also give me a chance to test drive the 2019 Ram Rebel! Thanks for the input guys.

I had my 17 RAM 1500 Crew Cab 5.7 recabed and it was also $100. I put 305 55 20 10 ply tires on and the factory setting was WAY OFF. It took less that 45 minutes. There is plenty of clearance in the fender wells and it rides pretty smooth for a 10 ply tire. I did drop about 1 mpg.

My 14 with the 3.6 and 3.55 rear would usually get about 19 on the highway doing 78-80. Pulling a trailer weighing about 3k I was at 14.

I have a 12 wrangler with the 3.6 and 3.21 gears and a small lift. . 13-14 all day long.

On my 2015 4xx4 Quad cab as I mentioned I am 21/22 mpg highway doing 70/75 mph and no real difference doing 60/65 ! The sticker said 23 mpg hwy so my mpg is pretty close to the :) But I am amazed how some of you are getting 24/25 mpg :O . But even though my car get 16/28 mpg I still drive my RAM most of the time and on trips :)

When trading or selling the 3.6 RAM you take a nearly $1, 400. hit.

This is penny wise pound foolish.

If anything the $1,600 hit would be greatly offset by gas and insurance costs. I also had almost 18k in discounts for my truck. Had I opted for the 5.7, that would have been 4k. I don’t tow anything so, [emoji2373] kind of a no brainer since all I need is to grab mulch, dirt, etc.

Your total cost of ownership will always be less with the V6 but, if you need it for work, massive loads etc, probably will need the 5.7.
