Then you'll need the 4.10 gearing even more, a 2500 weighs almost a ton more than a 1500. I the factory HD gearing is 3.73 with 4.10 being an option.
I'd try re-gearing to 4.10 and if you didn't like it go with a new 1500 hemi/3.92 (8 spd) unless you think you want to go a lot bigger in the trailer dept then entertain a HD truck.
