Anyone know procedure to tighten it up some. My transmission started to get some vibration after installing the aftermarket pan at speeds between 50-70mph. When I put downward pressure on the shift lever coming out of the steering column the vibration goes away. Leads me to think if I tighten it a little the sound might go away.

the sound is just more annoying than anything else. Transmission has been very good for the 20k I have on it.

There is no shift cable, it's all electronic now. You move the shift lever and it sends a signal down to a actuator on the transmission to make the shift. There is no physical connection between the lever and transmission.

Not mine, the cable runs into the firewall and down to the transmission to the drivers side of the transmission. I have the tradesman with the old style shifter lever coming out of steering column. There must be a procedure to tighten it if it had stretch a little bit.

White clip with Green mark is the cable adjustment. Pull the clip outward and make sure the lever is fully engaged in park!!!shifter adj..jpg

I’m going to...
1. Set parking brake
2. Shift into park
3. Pull clip

after that.... do you pull the plastic arm off? How does it adjust? Is it on a threading system where you spin it to tighten and loosen it?
