I have EBC greentuff on my truck, and they stop very well. But they lasted 25-30k miles, dusted terribly, and ate through the rotor. Would yall use Greentuff again, what do you recommend? I was thinking of moving to those bosch quiet cast brakes. https://www.boschautoparts.com/en/auto/brakes/quietcast-premium-disc-brake-pads and ACdelco front rotors.

Hard to beat factory pads paired with factory rotors, for price, longevity, and stopping ability.

However, I’ve used and have friends that have used Power Stop. Great products, great company, easy break in, no noise.

Edit: They will send you an email to verify figment before shipping.

Things were engineered from the manufacturer to work together and last. I’ve never got less than 60,000 miles out of factory brakes, even when replaced with factory parts, I have no noise and good stopping power.

Here is the combo we have been selling a ton of with all great feedback.

This combo offers great stopping power, low dust, great looks, and is long lasting! They are also double coated! Meaning they are machined then coated then machined again for the drilled holes and slots like all other rotors BUT then coated AGAIN so the holes and slots are also coated which is exclusive for us!
Be sure to use promo code GOTBRAKES15 at checkout for a savings!

factory parts have greatly increased in quality from 2-4th gen 2nd you were luck to get 25k on my old 1500 I swapped out the rotors for Brembo's OEM style and used high quality semi met pads I got 90k mi out of them ,

If my front caliper piston had not cracked I would still be going on factory pads and rotors at 55k easy. I did go with a powerstop option as it was more economical and had coated rotors very needed in the rust belt

If you go ceramic pad be sure to buy a tube of ceramic sil grease for them as most that is supplied is not enough to do the job well

I put the powerstop drilled and slotted & Z36 pads on my last truck. It changed the way it stopped substantially. You basically cannot overheat the pads and end up with brake fad. The pads and rotors are good to something like 1500*F or more. Just incredible. They stop well at all temps, cold, warm, or hot as hell. Over the years I have used many different makes and compounds, the Z36 ceramic/carbon fiber perform better than anything else I have had at all heat levels.

i was just going to do ACdelco rotors and Wagner TQ MX, for occational towing and mostly city driving. Is there any reason other than looks to do drilled and slotted? My EBC dusted and chewed my rotors too much for my liking, but sure stopped my truck on a dime, dont really wanna loose that.

My post may not help much, but I installed Bosch Blues over the weekend and they're great; while not a performance pad per se, they'll do the business and they're priced right! Fitment is perfect and they're easily the equal of the OEM pads, which I dumped at 45K. I didn't have to replace 'em, but we're heading to Colorado for the Fourth and I wanted to ensure I slow the Reb as quickly as possible on those grades! It helped that I also had a CARiD gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket. IIRC, I got front and rear pads for under $30.

BENDIX is a very good brake pad but you got to use the correct one some come semi metallic or fully metallic brake pads

I had a 2011 Dakota before my ram. I put the ebc greenstuff on the Dakota and yeah I know the stopping power you're talking about.

I also just put car quest rotors with powerstop z36 brakes on my front only and Tobe honest I couldn't tell any difference over stock. But definitely definitely noticeably not as good as EBC.

I was actually thinking on switching back to ebc for that stopping power. Seems like there's no true perfect pad.

Power Stop Z36, I went with the pad and and rotor combo. Huge improvement over OEM, they actually stop the truck with no noise. As for wear I've only had them on for 10k so far and they still look new.
