I would say yes to your question, as he was referencing CV joints in the original post. That video is for exposed U-joints.

neither the grease in your grease gun is the wrong grease cv grease is much thinner. Their is no point using a needle to puncture it and add more grease it is a sealed system unless you had a boot fail.. If you really want to grease it pull the clamps off get a pack of proper grease and add it then put a new clamp on..

It referred to it by the wrong name, it is the double cardan joint on the front driveshaft that I was referring to. It is not a sealed system and there is no boot on it.

I have both, an ‘07 and a fourth generation 2018. I’m trying to find out which tip to use on the double cardan joint on the 2018.
Helps if you specify what level of truck you have, like 1500 or 2500 etc. Don't assume everybody will know

The ‘07 is a 1500 quad cab and my 2500 is a Cummins powered crew cab long bed, both are Laramies. The 1500 is 2 wheel drive and the 2018 2500 is a 4x4..

When you're asking for help or information make sure you specify what catagory of truck you want help with.
Makes it alot easier for guys to help you out
