Just bought my third Dodge truck, a 2017 Ram 1500 Bighorn, and figured that I should find an online forum to support and partiucipate in.

I'm retired Air Force, 37 1/2 years all told now making a living as a Public Health Emergency Preparedness consultant.

My last Ram, a 2004 1500, had a severe case of body rust on the cargo bed. I sold it to my oldest son for short money. He is in the process of taking the cargo bed off and installing a stake body (?) so he can use it in his work.

I've spent the last 5 days getting to know my new truck and the Uconnect system. Hopefully I can find some advice here on how to upgrade this system. I did everything according to the online instructions but the system will not read my flash drive.

Appreciate all the welcomes and thank yous.

Right now I have an appointment with one of the better auto body shops in Chicopee to fix my baby. 6 days after I picked her up from the dealer I was rear-ended at a stop light by an 18 yo who was looking down at his lap instead of outside at traffic. I saw him in my rearview mirror about 2 seconds before he hit me. He wrapped his license plate around my trailor hitch but my rear bumper has to be replaced along with the right rear exhaust (don't know how far forward it is damaged yet).

To say I was upset with him is an understatement.
