Hello all! The name's Chris and I picked up my 2010 Dodge RAM 1500 Laramie last Saturday. While certainly not new to the automotive maintenance realm, I am new to Ram's and pickups in general as this is my first one.

As I said, it's a 2010 Ram 1500 Laramie in Rugged Brown Pearl. It has the 5.7L V8, 275/60R20 tires, 3.92:1 rear axle ratio and towing group. It's in excellent condition given its age and 118k on the odometer and drives wonderfully.

I've got tons of questions and I look forward to learning a lot on the forums.3c7b35d399894c8ca36f280831bb9381.jpg

Welcome from Bellevue! Nice looking truck. I always liked the two tone look.

Thanks! I wasn't really sure if I'd like the two-tone look, because for the longest time two-tone trucks always screamed "FORD" to me. (It seems two-tone Ford F150's are absolutely everywhere...) Suffice it to say, I'm not a Ford guy.

But I think it has won me over. It helps having a two-tone cabin as well. Makes it seem less like a we-gotta-compete-with-Ford afterthought haha.

Thank you for the kind welcome. I've always found wonderful forums to be a part of for all of my past vehicles, some of which I've been a part of for over a decade. They are a tremendous resource indeed. Thanks for allowing me in!

:welcome:to the Forum from Tri-Cities, WA.

Did you get your Rig from the Dodge Dealer in Pullman? I was heading that way to look at a few trucks they had back in June. Looked at a :boti: at the Dodge deaker in Walla Walla, then went to the Dodge Dealer in Lewiston, ID to look at a few Rams. That's where I picked up my Mega; the kids fell in love with it so we never finished the Truck Shopping Road Trip. I think something was telling me to go Dodge/ Ram, LOL!! Congrats on your purchase, it's a real nice looking Rig.

Well hi there, neighbor! Stunned that I've already found someone here who even knows where Pullman is haha.

I got my truck up in Spokane actually. Was kind of a paint having to haul the 90-miles up there and back during the "shopping" process, but it worked out really well and I got an incredible deal that I couldn't pass up.

Perhaps some day I'll see you out on the road around "these parts!"

NIce looking truck. My 1973 Dodge Power Wagon was two toned, brown/white and I loved that truck. And being in Idaho, I know where Pullman is as well. Enjoy the forum.

I realized I never went back to edit my original post with more photos. Anyway, this is a 2010 Ram 1500 Laramie that I got with 118,000 miles on it. It has just about the cleanest CarFax report you can have, one previous owner, was an ASE-Certified pre-owned truck, and passed two different dealership inspections before I bought it.

It definitely has its bangs and bruises that I will have to work on, so it isn't the prettiest truck by any stretch. But I think that given its age and mileage, it is in pretty remarkable shape all things considered.

Given that I keep my vehicles until the wheels fall off, I don't buy new vehicles very often. When I do, I try to get fairly modern ones because I know I'm going to have them for a while and there is no sense in starting off with something that is already supremely out to pasture.

With that in mind, I should have probably gone for a 2015 or newer with the updated radio, grill shutters, eight speed transmission and all that... but I got an absolutely awesome deal on this truck, and I just really loved the look of it.

It's kind of a strange Laramie because it doesn't have the Nav-enabled radio, or a rear backup camera. Both features I definitely would have liked, but I'm hoping maybe they can be added on. It does, however, support SiriusXM and has rear ParkAssist... go figure.

Had my local Chrysler dealer service all the fluids and convert the truck over to Mobil1 Fully-Synthetic Extended Performance 5W-20 motor oil. I've run a few cans of BG 44K through a couple tanks of mid-grade and replaced the drop-in air filter. I had to put a new battery in it and went with a 800CCA AGM battery from O'Reilly Auto Parts with a battery blanket and new terminal protector pads.

Nice truck! Had mine for a little over a year and love it. Explored the Cascades a bunch this summer but did not make it to your neck of the woods. Think I am going to head over Chinook Pass this weekend if the forecast holds. Enjoy your rig!
