Anybody know where I can buy either the four grille inserts, powder coated gloss black (metal) or a completely new grille with no chrome on it and also glossy black.

I can find them for the 1500's. MOPAR shows them, not on their site, but in their catalog. However when the dealers called them they say they are not yet on the market.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Yes, those are the ones I've been looking for. However, after talking to a person at a Diesel company, was told to give some consideration as to how much air-flow I currently have coming in through the OEM grille vs the amount that may? be decreased with a honeycomb or anything smaller than what is OEM on the truck now.

I know the diesel trucks are not bullet proof when it comes to high temp's while pulling a lot of weight when it's 90 or 100 degrees out.

I just ordered a Banks CAI.

What I actually would like besides just the honeycomb inserts is a full replacement for the grille. Take all the chrome away, have it painted like the color of the truck and put in the black inserts. Dodge has this entire set up when they came out with the all black truck. However you can't order it from the factory, MOPAR is out of the question and thanks to you and a couple others on here, think I've found the black honeycomb.

IF I can find all the parts, I'm going after all black on the truck, leaving just the bumpers chrome.

Tks. Guess some people are better finding things than I am. Think those will work however I am waiting to hear back from a diesel company to see how much "air flow restrictions" if any, these will cause.

As I just posted a few minutes ago, dodge diesels will heat up just like any other truck while pulling a heavy load when the outside temp's are in the 90's or 100. So it's the OEM grille vs the aftermarket ones.

Again I appreciate everything.

Which inserts do you have currently, I may be willing to swap you, I know there are a couple different chrome style ones, one I like the other I dont. My truck has the black honeycomb ones, only 1200 miles on them too

Are they four pieces or a single. Mine, chrome, is 4 pieces.

The one I have on the truck is an OEM.

Would want to make sure first But Im pretty sure they are the same

 Open you fingers, take your thumb and put it on one edge of the honeycomb and then extend you little finger all the way out, going across the entire face of the honeycomb ~ do that three times and it should tell you if they will fit. lol

I just measured mine. From inside the top left section of the chrome, measuring to the edge of the chrome center piece, the measurements are 18 3/4 wide and 4 3/4 high.

Just a guess on my part but looking quickly at a 1500 picture and then the 2500's, it does appear to be a different size. But measure yours and if need be, we can measure it perfect, I think, from the inside.

Yea I believe you may be correct. It just amazes me when Chrysler can make an all black truck ~ Grille included and when the parts rep from my dealer called them and asked if I could order the same set-up, different color they refused. I realize these parts roll down an assembly line and are painted but surely they have to have a few spares left over that one could repaint if they would just sell it.

Their to cheap to even put a cap over the diesel re-fill hole or give you an electrical cord to keep the engine warm during cold months. Nope, the cap ~ after market is $39.95 and the elec. cord is $185.95. Next we will end up paying for tires and wheels.

This is what they look like. The all black 1500 is the first of four I bought. Took this one back to the dealer due to a totally messed up radio. However, as you can see, the front is all black but the grille is not honeycomb. With a black honeycomb in my 2500, I want all the chrome and Ram's head to be black.

Although the black truck was a 2012, you can see how much smaller the grille when you look at the 2500. Also, the black truck has the all black grille. So even with the 2014 all black trucks having black grilles, I still can't see why Chrysler won't just sell me a complete black grille for the 2500. They even have all black 2014 2500 Diesel's. I wouldn't care if I had to pay $800+ to get a factory one.

Never heard of this but can an all chrome grille be painted black? Not sure if the paint would stick to it that good or last that long.

I LOVE GRILL CRAFT PRODUCTS

I had one on my 300c and everywhere I went people commented on the grill. It's a great product and you wont see many other trucks with one.

Grillcraft® - Genuine Sport Grilles - Grillcraft - 2011 Dodge Ram 1500

Damn, I'd almost kill for something like that. It is "exactly" what I want including the paint to match the truck. I'm going to be calling the company tomorrow and see IF they have one or can get one. If they can't match the paint to my truck, which I don't think they will, I can take it to a friend of mine and he can do it.

You just made my entire week!!!

I know they're dozens of grills for these trucks but none like these. I have yet to see anyone on here with one. I just bought a 2014 express and I think the honey grill looks kind of cheap. I'm really thinking of changing my grill for one of these black ones. It's each to install as well. The badge logo on the grill is also removable. I like to get **** no one has. Not many people have these.

This was my 300c

The SW's are very nice. The price is very reasonable. The top grill is the cheaper one and TBH looks better IMO
