Ok guys I have a 5 in drop up front with DJM 3in control arms, and 2in drop spindles and stock spring from a 2004 QC. I went to change out the old drop shocks for new one and when I put the 2in drop shocks it won't even make thru the top hole. So thanks to Matt at moes he sent me stock size shocks and it makes it thru the top hole enough to put the nut but no bushing.

If u have the same drop what shock are u using and any help would be great.

Have you tried compressing the spring by jacking up the control arm?

Yes but he don't have lower control arms. He uses 2in drop shocks. Those are to short for me

I'm not that low but from what I know, the spindles don't need to be considered in figuring shock height only the DJM drop arms. Maybe call DJM and ask what shock should be used. Man you are low....

The problem with the control arm drop is it lowers the spring bucket. So the distance from the top to the bottom of the spring is still stock length. You will still need stock shock length. If you had drop springs then you could use drop shocks.

Lurking around bro seeing what threads come up and came across this one. I run the same setup as you up front. I ran with the djm calmax drop shocks. You might’ve figured that out years ago but still lol. I do have a question though, who aligned your truck. I’m needing mine aligned.
