picked up my new 2019 yesterday put on 30 miles and had to drop her back off at the dealer.

AC stopped blowing cold and had a terrible loud noise under the drivers side dash that sounded like a grinding noise. It would come on and go away every few minutes. My guess is it sounded like a fan behind behind the instrument cluster that was bad???

I will keep y’all posted.

Edit: just realized this is in the interior section. My bad. Mods feel free to move.

Wow. Terrible luck. Hopefully it’s a speedy repair.

Me too. FWIW. The service department was closed but the manager quickly put me in a loaner and was personally taking my ram to service in the morning.

Well, thank goodness for bumper to bumper warranties!
New models come with new problems. I bought a brand new Ford F-150 long time ago and had problems with the spark plugs my first 24 hours. Went from 8 cylinders to 2. Crept 20mph 30 miles to the nearest dealership. They fixed it and it never happened again.
I’m sure you’ll be fine. Seems like an easy fix, just inconvenient like all auto repairs are. Keep us posted!

No worries. It happens like you mentioned. Luckily my salesman is my neighbor so I know it will be taken care of....or else. :) :)

I have an update. So the pcm was throwing a bad blower motor code. The Tech said that was the issue for both of the problems I was having. Should have her back tomorrow.

Yes I did. It was a little overwhelming at first but quickly got used to it. I really like it. I’m glad I went that direction for sure. To be honest I only had it for 24 hours before I had to take it back in.

Update #2
Went and picked up my 2019 truck drove it 15 miles and took it right back.

I was sweating to say the least. Turns out the passenger side is blowing 62 and the drivers side is blowing 70. All temps were confirmed by the service manager via a digital thermometer. And yes all the setting were in sync. We tried various settings on the climate control.
So have another loaner. :(

Damn, sweating at 70? That’s a cold winter day for us lol. Hope you get it sorted out soon.

It was 98 outside so with the air at the vent being 70 it’s much warmer when it finally hits the body. I drove it on the highway for 15 miles at 70mph and never cooled off in the vehicle. The seat was wet when I got out. I don’t think on a 59k truck there should be a 8-10 degree difference between the drivers side and passenger side vents and definitely not be sweating. FWIW I’m 6ft and 195 pounds. The service manager also agreed. Something is not right.

It has definitely crossed my mind. Im under the impression that the AC system is a whole new design including a new or different type of freon.

Just want to add the dealer has been great. They have verified my findings instead of trying to blow me off and is making every effort to make things right.

Yeah there’s definitely something wrong with the system because my 16yo truck is between 45-55*f from vents. Now there’s ANOTHER type of freon?

Glad to hear they are treating you right, those are hard to come buy. When the wife an I were buying her jeep we went to six different dealers cause most had attitudes right from hello so we kept looking.
