Hard shift when shifting down into first..

My 2016 5.7 8sp does this almost all the time since approx 30k. I now have 70k. Dealer did a relearn, that didn’t help. Since figured out in tow/haul mode it doesn’t do it, so it must be software and not mechanical/fluid. It’s new truck butter smooth downshift into 1st at stops. Now tow/haul mode does tend to downshift more than one gear if you brake too fast and that feels like a jerk, but what you’d expect.

Can I pull a fuse and force a reset myself, or is that essentially what the dealer relearn did?
