So, I've replaced the cam, timing chain, and lifters on my '04 5.7. The lifters are Comp cams which you don't pre-load. I did a compression test on some cylinders without thinking about a proper warm-up for the lifters so they can adjust, so I'm sure any test that I do isn't going to be accurate, but something strange (at least to me) happened. On cylinders 1 and 3, I had over 200 psi. How is that possible? I triple checked the timing chain while I was putting it on, so I don't see how that could be causing any issues. The heads are straight, according to a machine shop and the valves have been done, so I'm confused. Any one else experience this after a new install? This is the first hemi I've owned, so I'm just learning as I go.
