Has anyone painted the inner “t” black to match the honeycomb but kept the trim color?

I have not, but I would think that you could use plastidip black to try it out. If you dont like it just peel it off.

That’s a good idea actually. I might give it a spin this weekend

Be sure to post pics when it is done. Also maje sure you get fine line tape and high quality masking tape.

Alright I went ahead and did it roughly with the plasti. In the process I managed to rip some of the paint off of the grey area (grill was originally chrome and I thought I did a heavy duty remodel), so I guess it’s getting a paint job again no matter what. I kinda like be look of it. You can’t tell from far away that it’s an OEM style

Gotta admit, I like it better how it was before the crossbars were painted.

with all of it black, you lose any definition in the grill and it just looks like a ********* hole in the front of the truck. Plus the whole blacked out theme is well past played out.

This is the treatment I gave my '13 2500.....IMG_0308.JPG IMG_0307.JPG IMG_0270.JPG

IMO Plasti-Dip is easy to apply, looks decent but doesn't last. Common road rash from wind and highways will wear it off in about 6 months. Paint is harder, especially over chrome, but will last a loooong time...I've done both. Paint it....

Where do I get those badges lol? And how difficult was the install for the tailgate? I imagine drilling was required. Does it light up with breaks?
