Has anyone solved the USB to center console problem yet?

Personally I am finding that the uRAM usb connection is just too tight and is pulling the connection to the passenger side too much. Once I take the uRAM out of the casing and make the USB perfectly straight into the uRAM the issue of skipping goes away. I am thinking the issue lies with the factory usb being too tight and pulling to the passenger side. I will try and see if I can get it loose and make the connection straghter with everything put into place. maybe with a usb mini A extension and some heat shrink? I'll let you know how it goes

trying to straighten the cable with an extension did NOT work. Using an iPhone 8 seemed to fix the issue, previously I was using iphone 6 and the iphone 8 worked with the same setup that the iphone 6 didnt work, as far as I can tell...
