Thank you.., owned for 27yrs. 69 superbee 383 N96, still turns heads and I do fancy it still.
Should drive it more however too many distracted drivers nowadays.
Yeah that Bee is bad a$$. I just about bought one (that color even) when I turned 16, but I ended up getting a deal on a different car. Still kind of wish I would have bought it.

So my dealer submitted an order for me. A white 2500 Laramie, hemi, 4x4, night edition. B group interior. Sales person said when CHRYSLER “picks it up” he would let me know. So I guess that’s when they acknowledge that I ordered a truck and they WILL build it? How long are guys having to wait to until your order gets “picked” by Chrysler?

Also, a different dealer told me that they can’t order any truck with 12” screen right now due to chip shortage. But mine would have the 8.4” screen. So am I in a better position with that option?

Any insider news greatly appreciated.
Maybe they found one somewhere & are going to buy it off of that dealer? I have seen that done before.

I wish. They found three in Texas that checked all my boxes. But they were going to charge a $5,000 market adjustment fee. Saying they’d have to pay the dealer who has them the five grand extra to get it sent out to my local dealer. So I opted to build one and avoid that $5k markup.
What ****** me off was that a day or two later I found two out of the three trucks that were offered to me at dealers 2 hours away in Houston area. I called and both trucks literally sold the day and the day after I was at my dealer. They could have told me where the trucks were and I would have drove there and afaik avoided that $5k markup.
****** !

It seems strange that the one dealership, the dealers first name is Doug
He has been placing several orders for Rams at a discount
His Sales Team is on salary, not commission

Yet other dealerships don't have monthly allotment
Others are not taking any orders
Its confusing

a chevy dealer did that to me back when I bought my laramie. I was looking at a chevy 2500 ltz and a local dealer "found" me one that fit my wants. he said they could bring it in for me but the total price he quoted me seemed higher than what i was finding so I googled up the vin # and found the truck at a dealer 4 hours away in Arkansas for 5000$ less. I thought 5000$ was a little high for a locator fee. ultimately decided so go with 1500 ram laramie and glad I did.

so I googled up the vin # and found the truck
Ya darn. My searchability was tapped at that point. Had I recorded the VIN or stock number off the sticker sheet he handed me then found the truck 2 hours away I would have drove there and got it.

But the positive note is that after breaking down and ordering a Laramie 2500 with B group so I get a 8.4" screen, it has Everything I want, down to the tiny details. Even got a 220 Alternator and no rubber floor mats as I prefer weather tech.

Front bumper had a dent b4 painted.
So.. glad I got a Covid Ram.
Dealer acknowledged, Parts need to ordered. Sad for the amount of these trucks nowadays..
Otherwise drives good, wheel is off center also. I'll deal with it for now.

Went down to order a New 2022 Ram 2500 and there are changes from the website.
Hydro blue is unavailable And the Tech package has been changed. It's now a level C eqip group. No more towing cameras 360⁰. Can still option the 12" screen however.
Not sure if this is permanent but not available as of now. Really wanted Hydro Blue in a sport. Disappointed
How do u track your new build

First you will get the Trucks VON # ( Vehicle Order Number ) you may already have that #

When they let you know what your VIN # is ( Vehicle Identification Number )

using Capital Letters fill in this form, it will remain blank until the Ram is in the building stage

Interesting, my dealer didn't say anything. Did they give you any reason why or a solution?

They did not give a reason. They said they have had several customers with the same issue and that they have contacted Chrysler, or Uconnect, or whoever, and they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix.

the parts that are not available, all use daughter boards, those boards need microchips.
The US government mandates that all new vehicles must have a rear view camera, ( Rams have Tailgate Cameras )
