Seems like if i buy 4 hide a ways its almost as much as a kit so whats the pro to that over a full kit?

The strobe kit that was posted was $299 and some change...the Hideaway LEDs I posted were $66 a pop meaning around $264...$40 cheaper seems like a deal to me...especially for something that will last much longer...I have yet to have an LED burn out on me or stop working...and if you shop around you could find them for less I'm sure...

Strobes are also very loud and use almost as many amps a halogen use

I love the sound they make though haha...We have a Medic unit where I work that has corner Strobes on the box and they sound cool as all hell chirping away...

I think I just had a seizure.

:)

I have used whelen and another off brand that looks just like whelen with great results. I used them about 10 hours a week for 9 mnths and I only replaced one bulb.
that was before LED.

I used my Whelen pack for about 3 years and replaced 4 bulbs...so far 2 years with led's and no replacements *knock* on my wood

Lets see on my dads setup on his 06 cummins we have sho-me grill and deck lights and off brand dual head led dash light we got from the local fire store and a speedtech 28" LED top light. It looks awesome when he responds because the Cummins rolls coal like no other and his truck is fire engine red. Also we have a Code 3 VCon siren in it. On mine I have a Code 3 LP6000 fullsize light bar with a Federal Signal halogen dash light and I run dual sirens Galls street thunder remote mount siren and a Federal Q.

I know this thread is really old but I see no point in starting a new one. But, where EXACTLY do you guys mount these hideaways? I took a quick look at one of my front corner markers, and I see now good spot where one will fit! Maybe somebody has pics of where they put theirs?

i have some from tele-rad here in holland

These things are really bright...

Local fire and police get there light from tele-rad or from soundoff signal (which we share a building with them)

Great products, not the cheapest but well worth the money

Ill see if i can upload a video some how of my truck with the strobes on....:signs6:

You need to drill a hole in the headlight's reflector and mount it through the hole. The rear is really easy as you can pull the tail light and drill through with no trouble, the fronts can be a bit more of a PITA if you want a clean install. I'd post pics of my Ford but it wouldn't help you too much determining where to mount them on a Ram.

I don't want them in the headlights. I've seen people with them in the signals. but I don't see how.

You putting them into an '02? If so it's really easy because there's no housing around the lights like the '06+ have. You can just drill through the black exterior into the reflector and install the strobe that way.

An 02, yes. But a 2500, so its the 2nd gen style. Looks like the bucked behind the signal was too close for anything to stick out. I'll have to just look at it close inside and out.
