Head lights left me stranded

was leaving work at 11pm and started the truck and turned on the lights, nothing. amber lights turn on and thats it. start checking everything and nothing! fuse is good and all. So i take apart the relay and find this...



had to get the truck towed home... thank god for AAA free towing. so tomorrow the stock headlights go in and i have to wait till monday to call retro solutions. so maybe another 2 weeks till ill get my lights back in. my question is, obviously it had too much power going to it, why didnt the fuse blow? Im just hoping it didnt blow the bulbs or anything.
to many headlight problems since i got this new kit. the cheaper ones didnt give me a single problem.

How big of a fuse were you powering them with? You could've had to big of a fuse in there.

Not sure what the heck is up with that, but we will definitely get it cared for. I wouldn't wait to call, pop over an email - might get you a quicker response (before Tuesday when they reopen).

Very odd that this happened, honestly - in the past 2 years, I can't recall a relay doing that. We'll get it figured out bud, get ya back rollin' with your awesome set of lights!

How big of a fuse were you powering them with? You could've had to big of a fuse in there.

kit comes with a 30amp fuse.

I always keep a spare set of stockers with me in the truck for this reason.. Learned my lesson.. Had to have my brother drive 40 miles to bring me a set from the house lol..

I just keep a set in the glove box

Cant put the stock lights in my housings. But i do have the old ones with the bulbs. Drove to work with my truck to put the old housing in. Hopfully nothing is wrong with the stock plug ffom this. Shoulda put them in before work but got home so late and decided to sleep in lol.

Even if you were up you couldnt help lol! I texted you before i took the relay off. Nothin you coulda done lol.
It was working just fine the other day. My guage cycles through with the battery voltage and its never spiked while i was driving. And tested the battery with a volt meter last night and it was at like 12.5 some where around there. So it had to have happen lastnight.
Emailed the lady that helped me out last time. She was very good and hope she will get me straighten out. Going from HID projectors to the stock is gonna suck! Lol.

Todd just emailed me, and im sure JJ had somthing to do with that. Just waiting to hear back from him. Hopfully he says its covered by the warrenty.

Bottom line, everyone knows that HIDs and Rams are a love hate type of relationship. HIDs - lovely electrical item that can have issues. It happens, and what stands us apart is how its cared for vs the DDMs or other suppliers out there.

First part? Its a holiday weekend..........and Nick already has communication with the supplier here. Find that with your eBay seller? Doubtful.

What he said! Now im not trying to hate on them or anything. **** happenes. Just having a rough day yesterday. I like retrosolutions. They have always been helpful and always responded quickly. I know todd will get me straighten out. Just gotta wait it out thats all.

so Todd emailed me back saying it isnt covered by warranty, said the wiring is only covered for 30days.i think that's a bunch of bologna. life time warranty on bulbs and ballast. but he did say i can send the relay in and have them check it for corrosion. i doubt water coulda done that. really not to pleased about that. a warranty on the expensive parts but not the wiring...
