Today I got in my 2019 ram 1500 classic Warlock With less than 5k miles and while driving my check engine light came on. Got to where I was going and as I shifted to reverse to park, the R on my dash was flashing and truck was acting as if it was in neutral. Tried a few more times and still nothing, and even driving straight seemed like the shift points were strange. Had to call the dealer and set up a tow truck and rental. That’s my luck. I will keep you guys updated

I’m not sure if the warlock has the information center on the dash like my limited does but on mine, if the CEL comes on, it’ll tell me what the fault is.

That’s awful but at least it’s under warranty. Keep us posted!

Honestly Cornelious I thought about the possibility of that, then never checked.

What’s happening with yours?
Thankfully nothing so far. It's been great but when other members like yourself have issues with new trucks with the same mileage, I pay attention.

Also I should have quoted Richg87. My "same here" was directed at his post. We both have similar trucks to yours.

Hope they get it sorted out quick for you. Nothing worse than a big purchase making you wonder if it’s going to give you trouble.

I know this has been fought over and basically proven false a million times , but I still worry somehow in the back of my head about the ready lift 4” that I had installed voiding the warranty.

I don’t recall anyone having these same symptoms especially on a new truck. Could be the dial shifter itself or maybe just needs a flash. Keep us updated on the diagnosis.

I am very sorry to hear of the trouble you are dealing with, Ron. If it would be of interest, I would be more than happy to escalate a case on your behalf so that a specialist can assist you and the dealership in exhausting all available resources to have the concern addressed and resolved. Our team is always a private message away to get the process started!

Same here, similar truck, similar miles. At least it's under warranty and you got a rental.
No issues here with my '19 Classic yet either. 13k miles on it now (still trying to convince the Mrs that it needs new tires already though, damn SR-As).

I remember seeing somewhere that the max allowed lift allowed under warranty is 2".

Had a similar thing happen to mine while waiting in line at the car wash. Put in gear and it wouldn't go, back to park then drive and nothing. Then i cycled the ignition on/off three times and it was back to normal. It was then that I realized what had caused it. I had been in AUX listening to music and had rapidly turned the knob back and forth before starting, confused it I guess.

Hah, I had literally the exact same problem, same miles, on my Warlock. Turns out it was the valve body, which was on backorder, so I can only assume they had a bad batch of valve bodies. With the new part in, everything has been great so far.

This 3rd gen German trans is supposed to be dependable but there still the wiring between the tcm and the pcm that the obd2 shows me how vulnerable it is between the two.My 19 has 5600 mi.and should of had a hp 90 and a separate cooler for what it’s capable of.I hate the 6 to 2nd downshifting supposedly for torque and economy. Good Luck hope they tell you straight.
