new truck coming in a couple weeks and just sorting a few things out before it leaves the dealership. 2018 ram 1500 sport 5.7.doing a couple mods that the dealership says they will take care of. On the ARH LT headers, is this a direct bolt on or is there anything else I need to buy. will be installing the magnaflow mod kit also. Also are the cats that come with the long tubes high flow? I'm sure there will be a lot more questions I ask for this new truck to make perform better. Thanks Rob

Bolts right up, great fitment. If you don't plan on Camming or adding a Whipple, go 1 3/4. You can get catless or highflow cats and it is beastmode slapped up against the Magnaflow CAT-back (it's what I have). Only real issue is the oil dipstick tube needs to be bent (can be done by a brakeline tube adjuster). So the dealer will do all this for you before you pick it all up? SCORE!!

You’ll need a tune to prevent.cel . I have arh longtubes with high flow cats(came with my tubes which I picked upon purchase) . It will need a tune to allow ur truck to run correct fuel ratio....#voidswarranty lol make sure u have the header bolts retorqued after 500-1000 miles too. I recommmend atleast stage 8 locking header bolts as well. Im surprised dealership is installed but didn’t tell u the warranty issue ull run into if something happens.

I don't know about all this but I think the long tubes would be real close to voiding the warranty. Don't you need a tune for long tubes? If I'm wrong please inform me because I don't understand all I know about all this computer stuff. My hot rodding days were when we had carburetors.

You should ask your tuner about your 2018,i was under the impression they weren't tune-able quite yet.

I think Wild One is right. I don't think there is any tuning available for the 18's yet. I bet it will be 3-6 months.

Whatever mods the dealer will take care of for you make sure they won't void you're warranty, and make sure you're both talking about factory warranty and not something that they will just take care of at that dealership because they did the mods. When I had my Harley the dealer tried to talk me into a bunch of performance mods stating as long as they did the work that they, the dealership, would warranty it.
