Forgive me if this has been covered in another thread but I didn't see one.

Has anyone tried to shut their headlines off at night while their truck is running but while in park? I turn the knob to off in my 19 Limited, yet the lights remain on.

Has anybody else dealt with this problem? Shouldn't the lights go off in that situation?

Also, when driving through a tunnel or under a bridge my headlights kick on and the dash dims which is normal, but when I come out of a tunnel even on a bright sunny day, they don't go back off and the dash stays very dim. Has anybody dealt with that?

Getting fed up with all the issues with my truck!

Are your DRLs checked as on?

How long before the lights kick off? There is some delay there - but if need be just click dimmer to "on". I have to do this in sunny rain.

I'm guessing you may have the DRL's turned on in the lighting options menu. I haven't tried to turn them off at night when parked so I'm not sure about that particular situation. As for the tunnel I haven't been through one just yet but I will say that my auto lights seem to be on/off pretty damn quickly compared to anything I'm used to. If they turned on automatically I'd guess it's about 5-15 seconds before they auto turn off if I'm back in a bright spot.

Wow do I feel stupid. The DRL was set to on. I had previously shut it off but it was before my entire system was reset because of all the 12 inch display problems. So that setting went back to factory default. I think it should be good now but will check it tonight to be sure.

As far as the auto-off coming back out of a tunnel, I've had it happen twice where they don't go back off at all until I shut the truck off. Other times I've flipped the switch on/off/on/off to get it right. My 2017 took about 10-15 seconds, this thing has some sort of issue. It's not a major problem, but always having to either flip the lights or play with the dimmer while driving is sort of a pain in the ass.
