Heated and cooling seat "apps" not working on radio screen

Hey all,
I have a 2013 ram 1500 with 8.4 uconnect. I just put in another 8.4 uconnect with carplay from a 2018 ram. The problem im having is the heated and cooling seats and heated steering wheel apps on the screen are greyed out and aren't working. I can still turn them on with the physical buttons but not through the screen. Also the climate controls doesn't show a temperature it just says low or high. Is there a way to fix this? I have alfoOBD and looked through there but I can't seem to find anything. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Did you use the correct harness to add the 2018 to your 2013? If you didn't order one, or don't have the correct one from someone such as M²Mods in Vendor section you need to pick one up.

i didn’t get a new one i just plugged the oem harness into the new radio. i’ll look into a harness. thank you!

His issue is due to him having a 13-15. The UAQ’s don’t play nice with the heated seat module. Infotainment sells a kit that can fix it, allegedly. I have no experience with them. Only have heard.

Other causes for heated and cooled seat buttons not working can be due to tuning problems and base files, or if the vehicle was originally a tradesman, but was swapped to a laramie, the UAQ won’t allow the soft keys.
