I have a 2019 Ram 2500 Laramie Limited. I am not able to use the heated seats or heated steering wheel. When I go to select them on the computer monitor of a screen, they are not illuminated. I checked the all the fuses and they all look fine. Would the heat module be the issue?

Did you buy this truck new or was it a used truck that you bought recently?

Have you upgraded the radio by chance?

Have you recently made any changes to the BCM with AlfaOBD?

Your HSM or Heated Seat Module may have failed.

I bought it brand new off the lot, the radio is the OEM and I havent made any changes. Other than I had the belt changed a few months ago. How would i go about testing the Heated Seat module?

About the only thing you can do with the HSM is verify power and ground at the connector to the HSM with a DVOM or even a cheap volt meter.

If you can get a proper scan tool connected to the truck you can see if the module is communicating on the bus and if it has any active or stored DTC's.

I am not sure on Ram's so take this with a grain of salt. On several other vehicles I have owned the module for the heated seats is under the passenger seat. There is a big Molex connector that connects to it. Unplug it and see if any pins are browned out.

Perhaps, you have a CAN/BUS issue. This can be checked with either a scanner or a DSO. (digital storage oscilloscope)

Scan the module. It's under the drivers seat, along with the memory module.

What was the outside temp when you tried (this happens to mine sometimes @ 18F or colder.
