If the mirrors that came on your truck don’t have turn signals, then you will need to have the turn signals on your new mirrors activated in the bcm.

Yeah i didnt have turn signals on mine. So the dealer will have to activate them? Will i have to install a new wiring harness. How much will the dealer charge?

They’ll be plug n play, but yes, dealer will have to add sales code for turn signals. They usually charge an hour, about $100-$130.

Thats ******* ridiculous (excuse my language, but those are my only thought). And I have never said that word on this site.

That program along with the appropriate OBD Bluetooth interface can do what you need..... and a hell of a lot more. I hear cost is about $120-130 for the program and interface

We charge 0.5hr labour for adding a sales code. You wont need a wiring harness or anything.

Can it "turn on" other additions, like adding fog lights and stuff like that?

Yup. All sorts of goodies.
Fogs on with Highs
Turn signal/puddle lights on mirrors
Changing the bulb out warnings on most every bulb in the truck (changing from incandescent to LED.. and not requiring a resistor to accomplish it)
When you get to adding things like heated seats or putting options in your trim level truck didn’t come with, and you add the required wiring or whatever is required for it, AlphaOBD can “turn it on”
In the DIY section there is a long thread labeled “AlphaOBD” with tons of info.

Thanks man, i have a ton of upgrades i need added. I just emailed them about purchasing.
From my understanding you use your phone to do this, and not a tool like a diablosport hand held tuner?

Correct... sort of
The Alpha OBD app uses Android or windows. So if your phone is one of those than you are correct.
You will also need the correct OBD plug. Most reliable one that works with the app and our trucks is the OBDLink MX.

I’m not sure I follow...you’re going to press a button on the radio screen every time you go to use your turn signals?

From what it looks like, they don't offer the app for an iPhone. They have them for cell phones that use Andriod operating systems like Samsungs or similar phones. If you have a laptop that uses Windows and has Bluetooth capability you can use that to get the Alpha OBD to work.

Great thanks for deciphering that for me. Lol. I also asked them the cost, and didnt get an answer. So as long as i have a computer, and buy their program, i can do what needs done by the dealer? (Unlocking sales codes)
