Start truck and pinch the hose with your fingers, the side of your finger that feels pressure is the flow. Dont wear long sleeve shirt.

So I finally got some nice weather and the time to try out the clamps. I ended up clamping both hoses so I didn't have to let the truck warm up to figure out which hose was the inlet.

Im getting 44 degrees on the driver side center vent. The passenger center and the far left vent I was getting 46. I did not see a difference with the clamps.

I will try it one more time with the bigger clamp on the other hose as it's possible some coolant was getting by but the hoses were not hot after the clamps.

Kind of a bummer but I guess 44 isn't bad. It was 80 and sunny out today. I was cruising on the freeway getting these Temps. I did notice a stain near one of the ac ports, is this anything to worry about?

Clamped off the line going to the heater core with the bigger clamp and no difference in ac Temps. The clamp was working based on the feel test. It was worth a shot.

Looks like my A/C line and it's basically solder overflow from the fitting being added BP,nothing to worry about

If your getting 44°-46° coming out of the vents, you don't really want it much colder than that. The evaporator temperature is usually 10° colder than what the leaving air temp, any colder ad you risk it freezing up.

Good to know. I was just hoping for some change. I've always disliked how I need to crank the ac and fan in this truck and I never really get cold. I had a tahoe before this that you could hang meat in.

In the 5th Gen thread, guys were getting 38 out of the vents after this mod and they said the difference was very noticeable in comfort. Was hoping for the same. In the end it only cost like 7 bucks and a little time.
