In three separate RAMs now with heated steering wheels, the leather has cracked within the first 12 months..

Anyone else notice this?

I can't tells if its just poor leather, or the heating of cold leather is causing it to crack.

I haven't had any issues at all with mine after around three years. Is it possible it's something that is getting on your hands at work?

My '14 is fine so far, do you use any kind of leather conditioner/protector on it?

The work truck I got has a non-heated leather wheel, it's starting to crack at the top where the previous driver always had his hand. Very frustrating that a simple bit of up-keep could have kept that from being an issue.

Not sure which interior color you have but I have a brown wheel I’ll give you for the price of shipping plus $5 to cover a pack of beer. You would need to transfer everything over but it’s solid.

Had the same thing happen in my 16. Non heated at the time so probably just bad quality of leather. Dealer replaced it and shortly after I added heated options.

I have 2020 with heated steering wheel and it is now cracking for a second time. I had the first one replaced after I complained to Chrysler. I'm waiting to hear back if they will replace the second one, which is far worse
