Well ole Helga will be down for a little bit whilst she transitions into a beautiful butterfly :cocktail: Starting final layout and getting ready to cut her down from. 170” wheel base to looking at between 140”-137” “won’t know till I get bed off and get in there”. She’s gonna sport a custom off-road flatbed. The teal fun is about to start
Got me drooling just thinking about a flatbed on the rig!!

Nice. I sure like the room in those new crew cabs
I do too. There's times now that I'll have 2 carseats in it also. Grandkids ya know.
Plus no towing, small bed maybe the other kids won't want me to haul their crap for them.
And I didn't get to offroad the mule so another reason for 2wd. I really love the gas mileage

Oh yeah. I prefer to drive Kristes truck any chance I get. She’s about to get a commuter car so her truck will be mine lol. Just gotta wrap up this helga 2.0 project. Here’s roughly what I’m after “I’m no artist” but it’ll give me a game plan haha

Check out @castlefab on instagram. He built his flatbed and has a few pictures on how he went about it.

Whats your plans for the weekend?
Mine are stay in the house when the fireworks start. I keep the tv/radio way up loud while the popping is going on. Just can't handle booms that I'm not in control of. 14 years now.
Some how it sounds like artillery and mortars some sound like small arms fire. It's the ptsd.

Staying home. Too much on fire and half of it is closed off. So the whole stay will be converging on a few open places. No fire works just chillin at the house. I don’t mind the fireworks when I’m ready for them. It’s the 1oclock ones when I’m asleep that startle the **** outta me.

A little snafu with the 32gal fuel tank. It cleared my evap canister and fit in length. But...... the connections wouldn’t work so I tried to modify “pound” under cab. No go so I cut the damn floor. Will obviously need to itch that up but hey. The 32gal tank now fits

Alright. 32 gal fuel tank is in! All lines back together. Truck fires up and is drivable “in 4wd”. Drive shaft getting made. Now it’s on to the bed and covering my gaping hole under seat. Was totally worth cutting into the cab vs buying a smaller tank.
