I know this is older, but my 16 hemi idles at 650 rpm at idle. Came this way from the factory.

What is your hot oil pressure at idle? The couple that reported back to me on another forum both stated it was still under 40 psi.

Also, since late 2015+ lifters have changed suppliers in the 5.7L w/MDS, what is their part number? Hellcat lifters are non-mds so Mopar/FCA hopefully established a new # instead of playing the guessing game with previous inventory. Even modern MRP systems lose track of sales, all of a sudden someone puts them on ebay/amazon and you get the shaft(well, eventually lose it).

I didn't learn a lot of new technical info, but that was one of the more entertaining discussions of "ticking" that I've listened to !

Thanks !

James-IMHO I would check with Matt at Moe's Performance about the lifters. He has probably installed more and knows more about them than most of us here.

Got to say this, I know everyone has ideas and opinions mine is to have FCA replace those needle bearings/ With a Oilite Bronze bushing that does it's own lubrication within the bushing itself of course you still need the roller and the pin but beef them both up also.

Cool vid! It's funny how some of these old threads come up now and again. I've never definitively seen any difference actually posted by anyone with photographic evidence of the difference between stock and hellcat lifters which I put in, and since I posted this thread some time ago I sort of stopped caring. When/if my motor craters in 50-100k miles, it'll just be an excuse to do a stroker. The current lifters/cam have had nothing but a diet of Redline since I put them in, and my idle is bumped up a bit, so should be fine I think.
