Hi
Hello from 'who turned the AC off' Bahrain.
Bought my first truck ever (wasn't even allowed to test drive it!). Spent months comparing a F150 to the RAM. In the end, the RAM won based on reviews.
The car drives great although it took a while to get used to the size.
Some observations:
- The cruise control doesn't go above 100mph and the top speed appears to be limited to 108mph.
- The GPS (Uconnect) system is a bit screwed, there are no POIs and the dealer has spent months trying to work out why
- wish the rear bench seat was full all the way as opposed to a dip in the middle (not very comfortable for the middle passenger)
- love the front seat cooling
- hoped there were more rear compartment cooling vents (e.g. in the roof)
- like the AC as it manages to cool the front compartment quite quickly
- very comfortable ride
Unfortunately on a trip from Bahrain to Dubai (through Saudi), hit a massive sand storm so have already turned my shiny chrome grill, mirrors and bumper to a dull sheen and the wind shield is pocketed with small holes. Painful to see on a new car with only 1500 miles on it even though I had applied some pain protection...
Already planning to make some changes and need urgent advice, so will post in the appropriate area.
Thanks
Al.
