Ive had my truck for about 6yrs. 1500 quad cab 4x4 Sport. My folks bought it new originally in 99. Currently have 139k miles on it. Solid truck. Ive mainly used it for hauling my kayak to the lakes for fishing, so never really bothered to really take advantage of it. Recently got in a car accident and had my Altima totalled. Which brings me to my current situation, need of new tires. Looking at a set of Toyo RT or MT. Truck Currently has 265/75/16 street tires on it, is there any benefit of going with 285 over staying with 265?

Toyo's R ok, unless maybe U thinking of off roading. Then go to AT's. I got Falken Wildpeak AT3W's on MY 19. Just lost a 1 1/2 mpg due to more rubber on the road. U do not need the 285's unless U looking E rated, or mudders, again, all depends...All IMHO... Unless U like to Hum down the road, LOL.

ADDED: These R "C" rated, I did not need the highly aggressive and higher load "E" rated. These R 5 ply VS 10 ply.

Will be my daily from this point forward.
Gotcha. I agree with Tbird, probably best to go with an AT, decent off-roader with decent road manners.

Went with the Toyo cross country r/t's equivalent of 33s, might have been able to go just a tad bigger. Before and after. Now my build starts

Always nice to see another Yellow Ram.

You know, as long as it doesn't look exactly like mine

Seems you're out in the area of Dodge Lady and her 2nd-Gen with 330K+ miles on it.
