Hey members, I've looked through threads but haven't found anything exact to my situation, I also need to get this done shortly.

Once again would greatly appreciate your help. I recently had a set of 18x9 Fuel Maverick D537's on my truck with a +20 offset. I run 35x12.5R18 Toyo RT's. As you can see in the pictures they are flush with the fender if not a little tucked. I told the guy at the shop I wanted them to stick out about an inch or a little more and he obviously didn't follow my lead in that. He wasn't a huge fan of spacers either.

He called Fuel Wheels and they said we could return them and get a different set of wheels with another offset. What would 18x9 -12 look like on my truck? The other option in the D537's is a -44 offset which i think would be way much. How far would they stick out (would I need a 4" kit?), and would I need to switch out my factory fender flares.

My next questions is; I got a quote for a 4" suspension lift kit. He quoted it at $1068,88 with a labor fee of $220. It was a Fabtech or Tuff Country lift. Is that a fair price?!

And if not what else could I go for that's proven and affordable. You'll most likely say 6" but I'm worried about it being too tall for garages, and ruining my gas mileage even more. :happy107:

Everyone is talking about tuners and I don't know that much about it, but if it will help my gas mileage a little or if something else would it would be very appreciated. Upgrading the side steps shortly too. As soon as Magnum RT steps will have the 3 step aside steps.

Thank you guys!

I have a 2500 and have been looking at wheels myself. A good place to look at examples is https://www.customwheeloffset.com you can search different truck options which really helped me. I went with a -12 and will have a little 1-2" outside wheel well. I do have a 1.75" level - but I have a 2500 so different set up. Hope this helps.

See my answers in bold.

-12 would stick out another 1.25" than it does now.

Do not go with a Tuff Country lift. There is a thread on here that shows how bad they are for our trucks. I don't know about Fabtech but I know Superlift and Zone are good lifts for the money.

A tuner is nice to have for the extra performance and being able to input tire size and all that. I wouldn't really get one for fuel mileage on these trucks.

Thank you guys!

Good luck.

Definitely what Passive stated. Go with the -12 offset to get your wheels out the way you want them. Also, go with a 4" Zone kit. I absolutely love my Zone products and I'm sure you will too. Oh, and good choice on the tires... :waytogo:

Hehe :favorites13: So I got a call from the shop today and apparently the -12 offset is not available in that wheel, at all. My options are spacers or go to a different wheel. I don't know what I would go to and I've looked around quite a bit.... Fuel Boost would be an option but I prefer my Mavericks!!!

+20 to -12 would be 1 1/4" further out from your current setup as stated before.
-44 would be 2 1/2" out from current setup.

They make your rim in a +1, which would be 3/4" out from current setup

Check out some of the wheel websites that offer a configurator so you can see what wheels look like on your set-up. Fuel offers one on their website. Then google that wheel on your truck to see actual pictures. The Fuel Boost is a nice wheel too!

The tuner won't bring your mileage back, it'll help, but it won't ever pay for itself in fuel savings. It's more for getting the power back. I can still run a 6.34 0-60 with my 35's thanks to my Hemifever tune!

So apparently the D537's are ALL sold out. Just got off the phone with the shop and I'm going with the Fuel Boosts 18x9 -12 instead. Really excited for them. Will let you know how it looks. Thanks!

Thanks - I've used that tool, actually. Just ordered Fuel Boosts 18x9 -12 which should be here 22nd they said. I'll post up some pictures when they're on! Might put a 4" too. As I mentioned just worried about entering garages and stuff!

Cool!! I have no clue about how mine would do. How much is the Hemifever Tuner + installation, and would it void warranty? Thanks! I really like your truck by the way. I keep track of your build all the time.

Well I actually use a Diablo Trinity T-1000 and have a custom tune done through Hemifever.

The tuner will run you $599, you'll need a new PCM, unless you just swap yours, being that it's a 2016. That's around $500 I believe.

It takes 30 mines to install the tune, pretty simple, just follow the on screen instructions!

Thanks man!

Looking forward to the pics - Fuel Boost is a nice wheel! My wheels arrive next week - then I have to decide 33s or 35s.....
