I have a 2019 ram 1500 with 128k ran low on oil and now in limp mode.
Throwing codes
P0172
P0175
P3497
P1524
P0300
In live data chart while the vehicle was running I verified the engine cam / timing system, during this diagnosis I found the Exhaust Cam 1 / Crank difference to be @ -3 Degrees (OEM SPEC 0 Degrees

Intake Cam 1 Position 120 Degrees (OEM SPEC 0 Degrees) & Intake Cam 2 Position 230
Took it to a mechanic here and said timing chain job but prefer to swap engine because if they open it up might find other problems so to be safe go for swap. Opened oil filter almost no metal that looks worrying just couple specs. Any ideas would be of great help. Cant seem to find a knowledgeable mopar engine shop other then dealer

What rationale? Would love a new truck but unfortunately right now financially is definitely the wrong time. Need my truck fixed for work. Timing chain definitely didn’t break truck starts like new so definitely a big skip a couple gs is better then 60k now

I think the first thing you need to do is to determine what all those codes relate to. I have found that some weird stuff can generate meaningless codes.
I sat that because I once installed a set of O2 sensors from Amazon and the weird operation and fault codes was amazing ........ and NOT in a good way.

My point is, that leaping from a timing chain repair to a new engine replacement reeks of a parts canon approach.

Why not take the time to properly analyze and diagnose the fault before throwing money away? Money that you say, you don't have.

BTW, an engine swap in Canadastan will cost considerably more than a couple of Gs unless you have a functional replacement in the shed and the time/skill to install it.

Yup! What Ramdiver said! A proper diagnosis by a competent Tech will go a long way. But just a cursory look at your codes, indicates a "fueling" issue and a random misfire issue. Locating the actual cause of those thing is where a good tech is critical. Jumping straight to a replacement, like Ramdiver said, can be pretty expensive. Especially here in Canada. That is why I am building my own. Even if you need a cam and lifters, it is not the end of the world. Just make sure that ALL the oil galleries are properly cleaned.
That includes pulling the MDS solenoids and the 2 plugs in the front of the block also check for a "sludge" collection at the main oil gallery where the front main goes through.
I was quire impressed with the "donor" engine that I have, despite a cam failure, there was no bearing damage whatsoever. The bearings were so clean that in a pinch, I would have used them again. So, unless some of the metal debris has clearly readable part numbers on it, I would conclude that the bearings are ok.
Final word, if you do end up needing a cam, a lot of shops won't tackle it. They want to sell you a rebuilt.
Finding a good, competent shop, now THAT is a challenge!

Truck is stock nothing was ever changed in it since I bought it new from dealer only oil changes and air filter unless original sensors are bad but no codes are being thrown. For any sensor

That is the problem. Can not find a competent tech and dealership is 200/hr to diagnose if they have to open it up it would be close to 2000 just to check without changing anything

Take a few minutes and search each of those fault codes on the net. Write down or print results then looked what they might have in common. I have seen problem that should have set a code but didn't.
post a short note about each code on here, perhaps someone will offer a direction to take.
