It’s not a Ram but I’m starting to shop for a 2020 - had a 2015 for 2 years and want another one now...waiting now that the rebates dropped until May or June...

The picture is part of the purge valve system circuit on wife’s Mazda CX-9. I googled the code it ran P0443.

Anyone ( more tech savvy than me) know how to fix the cut or chewed wire?

Can you access more wire in the connector?

I’m not mechanically inclined as many of you guys.

I can try.

That connector looks like it will need to be repinned, or replaced with a splice repair kit which replaces the whole plug assembly.

From what I see it's gonna need a replaced connection. If you had small access to the wires we can have you splice into that. (Quick Spice or Snap Lock) It clamps over the wires, you crimp it and a metal wall pushed into the wires. It is Not the best way... Since there is not enough wires coming out... Need to take the connector apart or get new.

Yeah - I think either a bird or mouse got in there and did it. Unless some technician was a wise ass and cut it - not sure why. The car is parked outside all the time.

Looks like I will need to get new connector.

Thanks guys!

After further investigation- it’s the wiring connector itself. Which looks like more of a PIA to fix. Trying to baby the wife’s car a little longer to get what little trade value is left on it in June or July!

Thanks again for advice.

What's the possibility of soldering wires and heat shrink?

I thought about that - but I don’t think there is enough wire coming out of the connector. If there was about 1/4” more then yes.

Pull the pin out of the connector. Then you might be able to solder it and just pop it back in.
